Bezique
Bezique is led by creative Cellist and composer, Shirley Smart, Bezique perform a variety of acoustic world jazz and café music, centred on works by Django Reinhardt, Richard Galliano and Bireli Lagrene. Alongside original compositions, they add a rarely-heard North African flavour via the music of Algerian chaabi pianist Maurice el-Médiouni, to present a uniquely cosmopolitan sound on the gypsy jazz scene.
